Whitaker large

Background

Dr. James Whitaker is a biochemist leading the research into a cure for the virus from the safety of a biologically secure research & development facility.As the research begins to require increasingly unethical practises he struggles to maintain the loyalty of his colleagues.

Series Two

He has hidden his wife Jill Whitaker and infant son Lukas, within the facility - breaking his own rules in doing so. He answers to a shadowy figure called Mr. Landry with whom he communicates over an online video link.

Whitaker continues to search for a vaccine to treat the European Flu. But how did they survive long enough to set up the lab? What are their intentions for the other Survivors? And who are they making

Death

In Episode 6, series two, James Whitaker is shot at the airfield.

Nicholas Gleaves

Nicholas Gleaves (born 1969, Bolton, England) is an English actor best known for his role as Tom Bedford in the television drama series The Chase, from 2006-2007.
