Judy was the leader of a commumity where the family stayed in. Her and Anya Raczynski made really good friends. She knew about the rest of the area including the End Farm. She insisted and asked Tom Price, 'I'm not scared of you, are you scared of me'? She insisted 'A Time to be born, a time to die, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to get and a time to lose' when Sarah Bowyer died. She continued to be the leader when the family left.
